October 19,2009 - Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation invites Expressions of Interest from experienced, suitably qualified individuals, corporations or organisations to be included on a panel of Specialist Technical Advisors.

 

Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation invites Expressions of Interest from experienced, suitably qualified individuals, corporations or organisations to be included on a panel of Specialist Technical Advisors to provide services in the following individual areas of expertise:

  1. OHW (Electrical)
  2. Substations & HV
  3. Communications & Control Systems
  4. Buildings & Ancillaries

The Project

Auburn Stabling Facility is a new stabling facility located adjacent to the existing Main Train and PPP Maintenance areas at Auburn. Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation (TIDC) is project managing the delivery of The Auburn Stabling Facility on behalf of RailCorp.

The Project involves the construction of a stabling facility to accommodate a minimum of 16 No. 8 car suburban train sets together with train presentation facilities, staff amenities, parking and security.

This Expression of Interest

Following receipt of the EOI’s, TIDC will assess the submissions and prepare a panel of service providers from which the Principal Technical Advisor (PTA), to be appointed separately by December 2009, may negotiate directly with for the provision of specialist services for this project. The Specialist Technical Advisors will be required to work under the direction of the PTA in providing the necessary services.

Minimum Requirements

The Specialist Technical Advisors must demonstrate as a minimum:

  • substantial capability in the relevant engineering discipline by the Technical Advisor in its own right;
  • recent experience of the Technical Advisor in the project management of railway infrastructure projects  in NSW; and
  • the ability to work with other organisations in a collaborative manner to deliver a coordinated design.
