BGC Contracting has been awarded the concrete installation works for the AG Mill Area for the Sino Iron Ore Project.
The AG Mill contract for MCC Mining (WA) includes some 30,000 cubic metres of concrete in concrete foundations and extensive piling works. The contract is valued in the order of $100M
The Sino Iron Ore project is a large scale magnetite project located at Cape Preston, 100 km south of Karratha in the Pilbara region of WA. BGC Contracting was also recently awarded the civil works contract for the Desalination Plant for the same project.
Greg Heylen, Executive General Manager Civil said, "The Sino Iron Ore project is such an important project for the future of WA, BGC are excited to be integral part of it. Work on the AG Mill is set to begin in November 2009 and finish in May 2010. |
