The West is coming alive again with the spirit of new.
There have been many stories in the media recently about what is happening in and around St Clair, so we thought you might like an update:
Just like many other land developments in Adelaide which are developed into new residential communities, the St Clair site has required remediation. An independent audit of portions of the St Clair Woodville site was recently completed to assess all risks of the remediated soil.
The audit shows that the soil and groundwater on these sites do not pose any risk to the community and that the area is suitable for use as a park and playing fields and for homes to be built.
The City of Charles Sturt Council has now decided to go ahead with the proposed land revocation to faciliate a 'land swap' with the Land Management Corporation.
This will enable LMC to develop a Transit-Orientated Development ('TOD') alongside the Woodville Train Station and for St Clair to create a new oval and playing fields. For the wider community this land swap will mean brand new and shady playing fields and enhanced recreational facilities.
To experience the spirit of St Clair and see the extensive parks, the quiet wetlands, and the vibrant housing and cafes which are planned for the area, visit www.stclair.net.au when you are next online and take a virtual tour for yourself.
We hope you enjoy exploring the fresh new neighbourhood of St Clair!
