Transfield Services today announced US Maintenance (USM) had signed an agreement to provide facilities maintenance services to North American power generator and supplier, We Energies. The agreement provides USM with a strategic entry point into the utilities facilities maintenance market. The commercial terms of the agreement are based on Transfield Services’ proven cost reimbursable performance model with a duration of five years. Transfield Services’ Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Peter Watson, said today: “This new agreement with We Energies provides us the opportunity to bring our proven vendor management and self perform capabilities to the utilities sector.“ “US Maintenance is number one in the retail vendor management market and this agreement heralds the next chapter in the US Maintenance success story.” The scope of services includes lighting, HVAC, light electrical, building repairs and maintenance, fire protection, plumbing, janitorial, landscaping, snow removal, pest control and minor capital works. These services will be delivered on We Energies’ 800 substations, 150 natural gas terminals, 30 corporate offices, depots and warehouses, call centre and seven power stations.” CEO and President of Transfield Services North America, Mr Joseph Sadatmehr, said: “We will work with We Energies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of all their facilities maintenance activities.” “We are confident we can deliver significant business improvements to this important new client.
