It is mandatory that all toilets and other amenities for public use have braille tactile signs.
For the visually impaired The Building Code of Australia (BCA) (Clause D3.6) requires that Braille and Tactile signage be displayed on ALL sanitary facilities (other than private residences) Braille and Tactile signage is also required to indicate accessible routes, such as ramps/ lifts for persons in wheelchairs. It is also required at non-accessible entries/ lifts, to advise of accessible entries.
