| In ear active hearing protection (AEP-1) has been designed to be used in high noise environments where high noise peaks may occur such as with gun use or machinery. Available for left or right ear fitting and incorporate a microphone, earphone driver with volume control and an ultra fast compression system with a 'brickwall' output limiter restriction. Maximum transmitted output is 85dB regardless of the ambient noise levels. The highly sophisticated audio processing used in the AEP-1 has a wide dynamic range and will respond to low level signals when using a telephone or engaging in whispered conversation as well as very loud noises without saturation distortion. Ambient noise can be excluded up to 30dB when properly fitted. The AEP-1 incorporates a volume control which is continuously variable to the desired listening levels. An integral On/Off switch is fitted and the AEP-1 will operate for up to 80 hours with one ZA 10 battery.
All AEP-1's are built with a flexible ear canal tip for comfort and various colours are available.
