The high-quality devices of the SICK pressure transmitter series PHT are designed for applications in the food and beverage, the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry.
Regarding the process, the pressure transmitters are characterized by their design free from gaps and dead spaces due to a flush-mounted stainless steel diaphragm and a large range of sanitary process connections. Just to mention a few, the devices are available with tri-clamp, DIN and ISO-clamp connectors, union nut connectors according to DIN 11851 and DIN 11864-1 and Varivent process connections. The suitability for sensitive hygienic applications is verified by certificates of EHEDG among others.
To meet the requirements of partly high process temperatures as well as of CIP and SIP processes, the SICK pressure transmitters are rated for process temperatures of up to 150°C.
Between 0...0.25 bar and 0…25 bar a multitude of appropriate gauge pressure measurement ranges is available. Besides, there are absolute pressure measurement ranges from 0…0.25 bar up to 0…16 bar and compound ranges from -1…0 bar to -1...+15 bar available.
The PHT pressure transmitters provide an electrical output signal that is proportional to the applied pressure. Output signals of 4…20mA, 0…5V or 0…10V are available as standard. For applications in specifically harsh environments the PHT pressure transmitters are available with a stainless steel field housing, too.
With this new sensor series SICK extends the existing portfolio of industrial pressure sensors that comprises the electronic pressure switch PBS and the pressure transmitter series PBT and PFT.
