Designed for tightly budgeted price-sensitive applications, the series provides an extraordinary price/performance ratio. Three scanner versions, a reflex variant and a through-beam system ensure ideal availability, maximum functional reserves and therefore economical solutions for universal conditions of use – e.g. in handling and warehousing systems, or packaging machines. The V180-2 series of cylindrical photoelectric switches is positioned in the market as a trouble-free, reasonably priced solution for object detection. The variety of types concentrates upon the most important aspects and allows rapid and application-oriented selection of the suitable sensor. Decisions regarding the three scanner versions are based upon the required range: 100 mm, 400 mm or 800 mm. The photoelectric reflex switch with polarisation filter offers first-class results at a range of 4 m in all environmental conditions. The through-beam photoelectric switch, with its range of 20 m, is the solution for long object distances. Dynamic processes, in particular, in which objects must be detected at high speeds, profit from the short response times of all V180-2 devices. Brilliantly universal In addition to reliable object detection, all devices meet many users' important additional automation requirements. Thanks to the widespread M18 design, they are rapidly installed; they are easily aligned with the help of the bright, red transmission LED; and, with two LEDs and a 360° display, offer optimum visualisation of operating states. In economic terms, restricting type variety and device features to the most important leads to an attractive price/performance ratio. The V180-2 is therefore in many ways the perfect cost-efficient solution… For decades, SICK has been one of the world's most innovative companies in the sensor sector. The latest technological knowledge and processes are implemented in innovative products and system solutions. They position SICK as a technology and market leader in the customer segments of factory, logistics and process automation. More than 50 innovations in sensor and control solutions are planned for 2009. SICK will launch a new product each week as part of its "SICK Innovation Marathon 2009". All innovations – from No. 1 to No. 52 – are more than just products: they solve tasks intelligently, efficiently and precisely. And create unbeatable customer advantages.
